Jr. Church is available for our young disciples (ages 5-10) following the Children’s Message, and Nursery Care is available every Sunday for kids up to 4. The final Sunday of every month is our intergenerational worship service. DPC’s Youth Group meets every Sunday from 11:45 AM - 12:30 PM led by Pastor Blake for youth ages 12-18.
Please join us this Sunday, December 1, at 10:30 AM. Pastor Shelby is in the pulpit with her message, “The World Turned Upside Down” based on Luke 21: 25-36. Liturgy boxes are available for our young disciples! Please stop by the Jr. Church table to pick one up prior to worship.
Sunday Morning Advent Study| December 1, 8, 15, 22| 9:00 AM| Library
This four-week Advent study focuses on the experiences of four sets of often overlooked characters in the Nativity story. During this Advent season, Rachel Billups guides readers through the themes of hope, love, joy, and peace by sharing the stories of Elizabeth and Zechariah, Herod, the Magi, and the shepherds. Each set of unexpected characters has something to teach about living faithfully on the journey to Christmas.

DONATE WINTER ITEMS
Hats and Gloves with Lots of Love & the DPC Coat Drive! We’re collecting hats, gloves, scarves & additional winter gear for the children of Fox Chapel Elementary School. Donate new & gently-used coats to the children of Butterfly Ridge & Daly Elementary Schools and their families. Coats for all-ages (toddlers to adults) are needed. All items can be placed in the large boxes in the Lower Narthex. New and gently-used items only!
MAKE A FINANCIAL GIFT
Christmas Joy Offering: Your gift supports leadership development in our denomination. DPC retains 50% of the offering to assist local families during the holidays. Select “Christmas Joy Offering” on our website’s giving page.
Holiday Giving Project: Select the “Germantown HELP” fund and “Holiday Giving Project” sub-fund to make a gift on our website’s giving page. If you would like to deliver a meal to a family on Thanksgiving or Christmas, pick up a Holiday Giving Project form on the Lower Narthex table! Also, you can place grocery store gift cards in the offering plate.
SHOW UP IN PERSON
Germantown HELP Food Pantry: Join us on Sunday, Dec. 1 at 1 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church to stock food items and prepare grocery packages for local neighbors in need. Ongoing donations are accepted in the Mission Closet.
Kentlands Tree & Menorah Lighting: Join our Membership & Outreach Team on Wednesday, Dec. 11 from 6:30 PM - 8 PM at the Kentlands to celebrate the holidays with our wider community.
Selfless Saturday in Baltimore: We’ll carpool to downtown Baltimore at 9 AM on Saturday, Dec. 14 to provide our neighbors experiencing homelessness with clothing donations and a warm meal. Ongoing donations (hygiene kits, clothing items, etc.) are accepted in the Mission Closet. Email to get connected!
YMCA “SNOWMAN” GIFT GIVING: Grab a Snowman tag to be connected to a local kid and the gift they desire for the holiday! After purchasing the item, you can place the unwrapped gift (along with the Snowman tag) in the Lower Narthex by December 1. And consider adding an age-appropriate book with your Snowman gift!
